Zo te zien, gebruik je Norton. zoek op het forum op Norton en waarschijnlijk heb je je probleem gevonden.

Norton, maar ook andere symantec applicaties geven allemaal ellende. Vooral omdat ze kernel-onderdelen installeren, slecht willen de-installeren en veel problemen met andere programma's geven. Het zou (echt) verboden moeten worden.

Liveupdate is een van de grootste boosdoeners. Ook internet securety en parental control kunnen er wat van. Zoek alles van symantec en Norton op en flikker het van je HD. Herstarten is daarna noodzakelijk.

1 jaar en half geleden (de oude Panther tijd heb ik één uur Norton op mijn computer gehad, en nog steeds staan er hiervan resten op mijn harde schijf.

Nooit Norton gebruiken

Ik heb ook nu op een G4 MDD bijna ieder uur een Kernal Panic ... Diverse keren een systeem geinstallerd maar dat hielp niet .... Denk dat het HARDWARE is ....

is wel minder …

je hoort ook vaak dat het aan het RAM ligt...

ok, kzei al tegen men vader dat norton niet goed is, maja (ouders hé) en die laatste van wat zou dat zijn?

Mijn ervaring met kernel panics is dat het vrijwel altijd aan RAM ligt, ik heb nieuwe DIMMs erin gezet en geen probleem meer! Verder geen hacks als bijv shapeshifter meer gebruiken en norton is voor zover ik hoor ook een no-no onder OSX (techtool pro en DriveX schijnen goed te zijn)

Die optie heb ik bijna uitgesloten of beide Modules moeten kapot zijn …

norton eraf gooien! het is troep voor OSX, ze gaan er niet voor niets mee stoppen :)

die laatste? ik kan het niet zien van wie het, maar wellicht komt het omdat je al 80 kernel panics daarvoor hebt gehad en dat ie ‘er gewend aan was’? nee geintje… wellicht komt het omdat je mac een beetje in de war is van die voorgaande kernel panics? dat is een gok, ik weet niet of dat zo is. ik heb nog geen enkele kernel panic gehad!
